The conference will provide the opportunity for participants to learn about different careers in health and technology. Participants will also connect with role models and mentors in the respective industries.

Description of Scholarship

 

This is a $1000 first year scholarship to attend College of Western Idaho to pursue a degree in a healthcare or technology field. The award is in recognition of academic and vocational achievement, demonstrated leadership in school, community or other service activities. Applicants must be accepted and enrolling or enrolled at CWI for the Fall 2018 semester.


Qualifications

 

The applicant must:

-Submit a complete application packet in person the day of the conference.
-Attend the Hispanic Healthcare Careers Conference plus Technology on March 3, 2018.
-Must be in good standing and making satisfactory progress (as formally defined by the institution) toward the student’s program objective (degree, diploma, or certificate).
-Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 and above.
-Be a graduating high school student in Idaho.
-Have demonstrated leadership in school, community and/or other service organizations that promote, enhance or strengthen diversity.
-Live in Idaho and of Hispanic/Latino descent.

Ismael Fernandez Memorial Scholarship

 

Ismael had a passion for community service and involvement in government. His family and friends have established this scholarship fund in hopes of assisting other students who share Ismael's passion for community service.


Qualifications

 

The applicant must:

-Submit a complete application packet by March 1, 2018.
-Attend the Hispanic Healthcare Careers Conference plus Technology on March 3, 2018.
-Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.2 and above.

-Must be of Hispanic or Latino decent.
-Must live in Idaho
-Have demonstrated passion for community service.
-Must be accepted into a business school, vocational institute or technical school, 2-year or 4-year post-secondary educational program

Description of Scholarship

 

This is a $5000 four year scholarship to attend College of Idaho to pursue a degree. The award is in recognition of academic and vocational achievement, demonstrated leadership in school, community or other service activities. Applicants must be accepted and enrolling or enrolled at C of I for the Fall 2018 semester.


Qualifications

 

The applicant must:

-Attend the Hispanic Healthcare Careers Conference plus Technology on March 3, 2018.
-Must be in good standing and making satisfactory progress (as formally defined by the institution) toward the student’s program objective (degree, diploma, or certificate).
-Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.2 and above.

-Must have an ACT score of 20 or higher or an SAT score of 1200 or higher.
-Be a graduating high school student in Idaho.
-Have demonstrated leadership in school, community and/or other service organizations that promote, enhance or strengthen diversity.
-Live in Idaho and of Hispanic/Latino descent.

This is a $500 first year scholarship to attend Idaho State University to pursue a degree in the College of Technology or College of Science and Engineering. The award is in recognition of academic and vocational achievement, demonstrated leadership and financial need. Applicants must be admitted and enrolling or enrolled at ISU for the Fall 2018 semester.


Qualifications

 

The applicant must:

-Submit a complete application packet in person the day of the conference.
-Attend the Hispanic Healthcare Careers Conference plus Technology on March 3, 2018.
-Must have a cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 and above.
-Must be a new incoming freshman starting Fall 2018.

-Must be of Hispanic or Latino descent.

-Must be a graduate of an Idaho High School.
-Have demonstrated passion for their career path, future goals, and leadership/community service.
-Must be admitted to Idaho State University in the College of Technology or College of Science and Engineering.

Description of Scholarship


This is a $300 first year  scholarship to attend Idaho State University to pursue a STEM vocational or academic program for Summer or Fall 2018.


Qualifications


The applicant must:

-Attend the Hispanic Healthcare and Technology Careers Conference on March 3

-Submit a five to six paragraph essay in person answering the following questions:

1. Why are you seeking a STEM Career?

2. Why are STEM careers important to society and the American workforce?

3. Include home address, phone number, and email address.
