Hello, my name is Clariza Arteaga, I am originally from southern eastern Idaho and graduated from Minico High School in Rupert, Idaho. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boise State University, where I studied biology and molecular biology.

I currently work for the Idaho State Police Forensic Services as a Forensic Scientist I in the Biology/DNA section. In my role, I examine items of evidence from criminal investigations and collect potential biological samples for DNA analysis. Our work helps provide scientific results that support criminal investigations and the justice system.

I hope to continue advancing my career in forensic science and eventually expand my work to include crime scene response.
